All are invited to the first meeting of the UW Libraries Teaching & Learning Group's Book Club. Our first book selection will be Char Booth’s Reflective teaching, effective learning : instructional literacy for library educators. In this book, “Char Booth, an avid library education and technology advocate, introduces a series of concepts that will empower readers at any level of experience to become better designers and presenters, as well as building their confidence and satisfaction as library educators” (back cover). We will discuss Booth’s philosophy found in the introduction of the book. We will also spend some time planning the schedule and format for future book club meetings.
The UW Libraries has two circulating copies and an e-book. These can be accessed by visiting: http://catalog.lib.washington.edu/record=b6409217~S6 . Elaine Jennerich also has three copies for library staff use in her office.
